
Qatar enters a weekend filled with exciting attractions and events
The weekend is packed with a rich variety of exciting events and activities hosted across the country starting today.
Amongst these is the 3rd edition of the Balloon festival, which will kick off today from 4 pm until January 28th at Old Doha Port, showcasing over 50 hot air balloons large-scale kites, live entertainment and more.
Additionally, the 7th edition of the Mahaseel Festival started today, featuring a wide-range of fresh local produce from national farms and companies. The Festival will run daily from 9 am to 9 pm until January 28th.
Moreover, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will present "ScheHerazad", evoking 1,001 symphonic stories, at 7:30 pm on Saturday at the Opera House of the Katara Cultural Village.
Film lovers will have the opportunity to attend Doha Film Institution's Cinema Under the Stars at the Museum of Islamic Art Park, available for free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, where three family-friendly movies will be screened starting today with the film Hunt for the Wilderpeople; tomorrow's movie choice will be the film Frozen; and the film The Boy and the World will screen on Saturday. All movies will begin at 7 pm.
Furthermore, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club will hold the most significant local competition of the season, the Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani Rifle Day, on Saturday at Al Rayyan Racecourse, where 139 of the best horses will compete in 10 races.
