The 2025 Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF) began yesterday with a spectacular showcase of Arabian horse beauty at the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara. The opening day of the Arabian Peninsula Horse Show provided a captivating glimpse into the grace and majesty of these iconic animals.
Held under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the festival attracted a global audience of equestrian enthusiasts, breeders, and admirers. The first day of competition focused on Yearling Fillies and Yearling Colts, with emerging stars of the Arabian horse world competing for top honors.
In the Yearling Fillies category, Qumriyah emerged victorious in Class 1A, earning an impressive 91.57 points. Her exceptional movement, striking presence, and overall beauty impressed the judges. Hammama Al Salam also scored 91.57 points but placed second, delivering a remarkable performance characterized by balance and charm. GJ Majestica secured third place with 91.43 points.
Class 1B saw Anhajeeah Al Shaqab take first place with 91.43 points, captivating the audience with her elegance and commanding presence. Mayyasa Al Zain earned second place with 91.29 points, while Al Jowhara Abher finished third with 90.71 points.
The Yearling Colts (Class 4A) competition was equally thrilling. Saif Al Wadi claimed the top spot, also scoring 91.43 points, with his impressive physique and fluid movements. Ragheed Al Sraiya secured second place with 90.86 points, and Lamah Ofuq (QA) took third with 90.29 points.
The highlight of the day was D Sadn's breathtaking performance, earning the highest score of the event so far: 92.57 points. His commanding presence and impeccable conformation secured his first-place victory. Ibn Al Naif earned second place with 90.93 points, and Al Rayyan Al Etaag impressed with 90.64 points to take third.
