Under the leadership of Minister of Municipality, HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, a Qatari delegation attended the 61st Paris International Agricultural Show 2025, taking place in Paris, France, and scheduled to conclude on March 2nd.
Qatar's involvement in the event demonstrates its dedication to fostering global agricultural cooperation and adopting advanced technologies to promote sustainable food security, aligning with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
In a meeting with Her Excellency Annie Genevard, France's Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, conducted during the show, the Minister of Municipality emphasized the significance of deepening agricultural collaboration between the two nations. This aligns with Qatar's National Food Security Strategy 2030, which was developed in partnership with governmental and private sector entities to ensure resilience and adaptability in response to both local and global shifts.
He highlighted that the strategy's goal is to secure consistent food supplies by encouraging innovation and the use of technology to create agricultural and food solutions that address environmental challenges and climate change. The strategy is structured around four key components: domestic production, local markets, strategic reserves and early warning systems, and international commerce and investment.
The Paris International Agricultural Show, an annual event held in Versailles since 1964, stands as the premier international agricultural exhibition in both France and Europe.
