Visit Qatar is preparing to launch "Sealine Season," a unique multi-activity village at Sealine Beach, running for three weeks from January 3-27, 2025. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Sports for All (QSFA), and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the event aims to showcase Sealine Beach as a premier destination for families.
The initiative will offer a diverse range of experiences, encompassing sports, entertainment, cultural displays, and interactive attractions, catering to a broad audience. The Ministry of Sports and Youth will oversee sports competitions like volleyball and football, and curate a cultural zone highlighting Qatari heritage. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change will provide a venue and showcase oryxes.
QSFA will promote community-based sports and physical activity, aligning with its mission to encourage health and well-being. These activities complement the Federation's ongoing efforts to promote regular exercise and offer constructive recreational opportunities, especially during the mid-academic year break.
Several sponsors are contributing to the event's success. Seashore will provide event facilities; Mawater will display classic cars; Outpost Al Barari will host an Arabic tent with a set menu and henna artists; and Qatar Calendar House will offer interactive astronomy exhibits.
Sealine Season will feature two major concerts: Saad Juma & Dhom Al Tlasy on January 3, and Mohammed Al Bakri & Abdulaziz Al Thuehi on January 10. Weekly Friday fireworks displays, a Kite Festival (January 16-18), a Qatar Racing Club car show (January 24), and drone shows (January 23-24) are also planned. Chef Bel5ams will host a cooking competition on Thursdays and Fridays.
The event will also include food and beverage vendors, a Sports Family Zone, a daily kids' obstacle course, and weekend calligraphy, falconry, and face painting.
Located at Al Sarab on Sealine Beach Road, the venue can accommodate up to 10,000 visitors, offering ample parking, full accessibility, and a wide array of activities for engaging experience.
