The "Hamba Exhibition" of Bangladeshi mangoes and related products wrapped up yesterday, after a bustling six-day run at Eastern Square in Souq Waqif. The event, which took place from June 25th to 30th, was a collaborative effort between the Private Engineering Office's Celebrations Committee and the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. It drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of both Qataris and residents.
Over its duration, the exhibition welcomed an impressive 64,000 visitors and saw the sale of 72,390 kilograms of fresh Bangladeshi mangoes. The overwhelming demand led to the exhibition closing a day ahead of schedule, as all the imported fresh mangoes from Bangladesh completely sold out, highlighting the event's significant popularity and commercial triumph.
Beyond just fresh mangoes, the exhibition also showcased a diverse range of mango-based delights. Visitors had the chance to sample an array of sweets, refreshing juices, and traditional dishes, providing an authentic and flavorful experience of Bangladeshi cuisine.
