VCUarts Qatar is participating in the Ars Electronica Festival 2025 in Linz, Austria, showcasing an exhibition titled ‘Ghūl’. The exhibition explores how technological, economic, and ecological systems shape human experience, using the Arabian folklore figure of the ghūl as a metaphor.

The show features collaborative works from VCUarts Qatar and its Richmond campus, including contributions from faculty, students, and alumni. Highlights include immersive XR narratives, interactive installations, and sustainable design projects that address themes like identity, memory, surveillance, and environmental awareness.

‘Ghūl’ invites audiences to reflect on the systems that govern our lives and imagine alternative futures through artistic innovation.
