The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the International Arabic Calligraphy Competition, titled Al-Akhlaq Award, which will be held from September 1 to 8 at the Rosewood Hotel in Doha. The closing ceremony is scheduled for September 9 at the Ministry’s newly inaugurated headquarters.
This prestigious event will be accompanied by a rich cultural programme aimed at celebrating the enduring elegance of Arabic calligraphy and highlighting its role in fostering universal human values. The programme will bring together a distinguished lineup of calligraphers, artists, and scholars from Qatar and across the globe.
The initiative reflects the Ministry’s broader commitment to revitalizing Arab and Islamic artistic heritage and promoting it on an international platform.
