The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has released a series of recommendations aimed at supporting the community’s mental well‑being considering the current situation. The ministry highlighted that emotions such as fear, anxiety, and sadness are natural responses during times of crisis.
According to the MoPH, maintaining as much normalcy as possible in daily routines can help reinforce stability and a sense of safety. The ministry also underscored the importance of staying connected with family members and friends, noting that sharing feelings can ease emotional pressure.
The guidelines advise individuals experiencing severe or persistent symptoms such as ongoing sleep problems or panic attacks to seek assistance from qualified mental‑health professionals.
The MoPH further emphasised the role of physical health in strengthening psychological resilience. Proper nutrition, adequate rest, and regular physical activity can all contribute to reducing stress levels.
In addition, the ministry encouraged people to reach out for support whenever needed, explaining that speaking with someone trusted can provide reassurance and relieve emotional strain.
Special attention was also given to the needs of children. The MoPH recommended offering appropriate reassurance and allowing children to express their emotions through play or drawing, which can help them better process and cope with events around them.
