HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronised the graduation ceremony of the 49th batch of Qatar University, the Class of 2026, held on Monday morning at the university’s Sports and Events Complex.
During the ceremony, HH the Amir recognised 180 outstanding graduates from various academic disciplines, celebrating their academic excellence and achievements. Degrees were awarded to a total of 902 graduates by the President of Qatar University, HE Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Al Ansari.
On the occasion, HE the President of Qatar University delivered a speech highlighting the university’s academic journey and role in preparing future leaders, while graduate Abdullah Khalid Al Kaabi addressed attendees on behalf of the graduating class.
The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with Their Excellencies sheikhs and ministers, members of the Qatar University Board of Trustees, university vice presidents, parents and guardians of graduates, and several senior officials.
The event marked a significant milestone for the graduates as they concluded their academic studies and prepared to embark on the next stage of their professional and personal journeys.
